My dad printed out a 1997 Wired article claiming the internet would die by 2003, and he still has it taped in his shop
I was cleaning out his garage in Dayton last month and found the page, still taped above his workbench, with a highlighted quote about how online shopping was a fad that would blow over. The wild part is he wasn't anti tech at all, he ran a computer repair shop on Third Street for 20 years, he just believed the hype pieces like everybody else. I started a little folder of these, so far I have 11 printouts from old magazines and newspapers. What's the worst wrong prediction you have actually seen on paper?

My uncle taped one from 2000 saying email was a passing trend.
