That map in the Phoenix airport food court had Hawaii in the wrong spot

I was waiting for my connecting flight last Tuesday and grabbed a slice at the terminal 4 food court. They have this giant vinyl map of the US on the wall, probably 8 feet wide, and it took me a solid minute to realize Hawaii was floating somewhere near Colorado. Like, I get that Alaska gets shoved into a corner, but Hawaii was literally sitting on top of New Mexico. The worst part is the scale was so off that Florida looked as big as Texas, and the Great Lakes were basically puddles. I tried pointing it out to the guy next to me and he just shrugged and said he never noticed. How does a map that big get that wrong without someone, anyone, fixing it? Has anyone else seen a bad map in a public space that made you question everything?
