I finally caved and bought a $40 desk lamp for drawing at 2am
I used to draw under my kitchen light and kept wondering why my shading looked like mud the next morning. Last week I dropped $40 on a small clamp lamp with a warm bulb at the hardware store in Boise, and suddenly I could actually see where my pencil lines were going. Turns out half my ugly late night sketches were just me drawing blind, not me being bad at it. Now I sort of want a second one for the other side of the desk, but I'm cheap. Anyone got a cheaper setup that works better than one lamp and hope?
