Why does nobody talk about intermittent faults hiding in the connector, not the LRU
Had a captain write up the number 2 VHF as intermittent for 6 legs straight on a 737 out of Midway, and of course it tested fine on the ground every time. Swapped the radio, no joy, so I finally pulled the rack and found two slightly backed out pins on the coax connector that only lost contact during high vibration. Anyone else got a trick for catching stuff like that before you start firing the parts cannon?
