Spent 4 hours tracking a ghost voltage on a 737NG yesterday
Chasing a 28V DC fault that turned out to be a chafed wire behind the flight deck bulkhead. 4 hours of meter work and a 10 minute fix. Has anyone else had a gremlin that took way longer than it should have?

Man, I feel your pain on this one. That kind of hunt is brutal when you know it's gotta be something simple but it just won't show up. I had a similar issue with a dental chair once, spent half a day chasing a loose ground that was hiding behind a panel. Eric_carr's right about frayed wires being the usual suspect, but man, four hours of poking around is rough. Glad you finally got it sorted though.

Ngl I read somewhere that frayed wires behind panels cause like half of all electrical headaches.
