Manual wire tracing beats any fancy tester I've used

Honestly, the $3k continuity analyzer at our shop in Phoenix sits idle while I pull wire by hand from the LRU back to the rack. It took me 2 days on a 737 flap issue last month, but I found a chafed pin the tester swore was clean. Anyone else trust old-school ohm readings over the automated stuff?
