I used to wire everything to the same ground bus bar for years

Thought I was saving time by lumping all my grounds onto one bar in the panel. Then a senior guy pointed out my loop interference during a radio check on a Cessna 172 last month. Had to redo 4 connections and my crosstalk issues vanished. Anyone else ever get called out for a seemingly minor wiring habit that turned out to be a big deal?

You said "wire everything to the same ground bus bar for years." That's a common mistake but you are mixing up ground loops with bonding issues. Ground loops cause noise, not crosstalk. Crosstalk is between signal wires, not ground paths. You probably had a ground loop creating interference, not crosstalk. The fix was right though separating the grounds. Just wanted to point that out so you use the right term next time.
