Had to pick between a Fluke and a Brymen multimeter last month
Went with the Brymen because it was $80 cheaper (you know, night shift budget life), and honestly it's been just as accurate on the bench so far. Anybody else find a solid budget alternative that beat out the expensive stuff?

YES the Brymen is actually better built than some of the Flukes I've seen

Huh, I gotta push back on that a little. I've taken apart both pretty recently and the Fluke 87V just feels more solid in the hand, especially the rotary switch. The Brymen has those little plastic tabs that can snap off if you're not careful with the battery door. Plus the lead input jacks on the Fluke are way more recessed and feel sturdier to me. Different strokes for different folks I guess, but build quality isn't everything either.
