Why does nobody talk about getting your car shipped on a Tuesday? My quote dropped $300 from a Monday call
Two years back I booked a carrier out of Denver on a Monday morning and paid $1,150 to get my Civic to Portland, and last month I called the same broker on a Tuesday afternoon with the same route and got quoted $850. Turns out drivers post their open spots early in the week and brokers are scrambling to fill trucks before the weekend, so Monday prices are basically the worst you can get. Has anyone else tested the day-of-week thing or is my one comparison just a fluke?
