Started asking brokers for the MC number before I book, and 2 out of 9 couldn't give me one
Ran 9 quotes for my truck from Phoenix to Denver and just that one question cut the sketchy ones out fast, so what other 10 second questions do you all ask before handing over a deposit?

Ask for their DOT number and look it up on the FMCSA site right there on the call, takes ten seconds and shows you if they're even allowed to operate. Sketchy ones usually hang up before you finish typing it in.
