Old timer at the parts counter said something that stuck with me
Guy in his 70s told me he never uses a torque wrench on lug nuts. Just feel and a breaker bar. After 50 years he never had one come loose. Made me wonder how much we overthink simple stuff.

Bet it works until it doesn't and someone's wheel flies off on the highway.

Does @derek_burns have a point though? That kind of stuff always makes me nervous too, especially at highway speeds.
