Just realized my old service manager in Dayton was right about comebacks, and it took me 8 months to get it
He always said to test drive a car 3 times before calling it fixed, and I blew him off for years until a brake job came back twice in one week. Now I do the extra lap around the block every time, and I have not had a comeback since March.
Ugh, I have to disagree on this one. Three test drives is a lot of time to burn on every single ticket, and half the comebacks I have seen had nothing to do with the repair itself. Loose battery cable, a sensor that got bumped, a guy who forgot to torque one caliper bolt, none of that shows up on lap two or three either. One good drive with a few hard stops and some parking lot turns catches almost everything, and I would rather put that saved time into a careful look over my work before the car even leaves the bay.
