I used to think impact guns were overkill for spark plugs until I snapped one off in an aluminum head
Pulled plugs on a 2014 F150 5.0 last Tuesday. #2 was stuck good. Broke out my old 3/8 ratchet and snapped it clean off at the threads. Took me 5 hours and a $70 extractor kit to get the rest out. A buddy at the shop told me he always zips them out with his M18 impact on the lowest setting. Tried it on the other seven. Came out smooth every time. No more hand tools for me on those. Any of you guys use impacts on plugs or am I still being dumb?
