Started waiting for body filler to cure all the way before sanding

I always rushed sanding to get jobs done faster. A comeback repair showed me the filler wasn't set right and cracked later. Now I give it the full time it needs, no shortcuts. My panels come out way smoother with no shrink-back issues. It's a basic step that really ups my work quality.

Heard an old timer say the filler keeps hardening for a full day even after it feels dry. Makes you wonder how many early jobs have hidden weak spots, right?

Yeah, that's so true! It reminds me of how many things in life seem done but still need time to settle. Like when you patch a wall quickly and it looks fine, but later you see cracks. We rush so much these days, missing the slow cure times. Makes you question all the quick fixes we rely on, right? It's a hidden cost of always wanting things now.
