Had to choose between a used booth and rebuilding my old one, picked the rebuild
My 15 year old spray booth kept tripping breakers and the filters were a nightmare to source. I got a quote for a used downdraft booth at $9k, but after checking the fan and wiring, it needed another $3k in repairs. Decided to strip my old booth down, replace the motors, rewired it myself over three weekends with help from a buddy. Total came to $4,200 and it runs quieter than before. Anyone else rebuilt gear instead of buying used, and did it hold up longer than you expected?

That rebuild math makes way more sense than gambling on someone else's problems, plus you know exactly what's in it now.
