Why did my 2003 Rancher start on the third kick after sitting 4 years in a Rockford barn?
I pulled the choke halfway, gave it two slow kicks with the key off, then one real one and it fired right up, so now I'm wondering if that old trick is just luck or if anyone else swears by priming their quad that exact way.

Four years in a Rockford barn and it fires on the third kick, that quad clearly missed you more than any ex ever did lol. That priming trick is legit though, two slow kicks with the key off just gets some fuel moving before you actually try.
