Got stuck behind a guy on a mud trail in Moab who refused to air down, and now I think tire pressure is the most overrated argument in ATVs
Two summers ago I was riding the Slickrock area outside Moab and got stuck behind this group for almost 40 minutes because one guy on a stock machine would not air down his tires past 10 psi. He kept saying he didn't want to lose ground clearance and that his dealer told him low pressure wrecks sidewalls. Meanwhile he's spinning out on every little ledge and his buddies had to keep winching him. I run 6 psi in the rocks now and have never cut a sidewall once. Everybody on the forums acts like tire pressure is some huge debate but honestly I watched a guy ruin his whole day over it. The bigger thing I learned that trip was just how much a stock machine can do if you pick your line right. Has anyone else seen somebody refuse to adjust pressure and pay for it all day?
