Can we talk about how I used to haul a toolbox everywhere on my quad?
Tbh, for like 6 years I carried this big steel toolbox strapped to the rear rack of my 2007 Polaris. Weighed maybe 40 pounds empty. Every trip to the trails near Lake George, I'd pack it with sockets, wrenches, zip ties, a whole spare belt. I thought I was ready for anything. Then last summer, a buddy's chain snapped on a steep climb and he just pulled a tiny multitool out of his chest pack and fixed it in 10 minutes. I looked at my giant box and realized I never once used half that stuff. Now I run a small soft bag with a multi-tool, a couple of hose clamps, electrical tape, and a small air pump. Cuts down the weight and honestly makes the quad feel way more nimble on tight turns. Has anyone else ditched the heavy gear for a minimalist setup? What do you actually carry now?
