That HVAC guy who quoted me $4K just for a capacitor
Had a tech from one of those big chain companies come out to Decatur last month, said my whole unit needed replacing. I asked him to show me the actual part, and he got real quiet, then admitted it was just the 45/5 capacitor, like $30 online. Anyone else had these guys try to upsell before checking the simple stuff?

That’s such a scam, glad you caught it before dropping four grand. Always pays to ask questions with those big companies, they rely on folks just saying yes.
