Everyone on here says you have to drop big money on a whole house fan if you want real relief in an Atlanta summer, but I grabbed a $180 window unit for the attic hatch instead and my upstairs went from 84 to 76 in about a week of tuning. My neighbor in Decatur spent $600 on his setup and he's still sweating up there. What did you all actually pay when you went the cheap route?
