Hot take: that guy in Decatur who told me to just caulk my 1920s window trim was wrong
He swore it would stop the draft for $8, but a week later the sash wouldn't budge and my AC bill hit $240 in July because the frame had shifted. Anyone else dealing with old Atlanta housing stock where the trim is basically glued shut?

Caulking old trim seemed smart until my own sash warped and refused to open too.
