Downspout nightmare on Highland Ave, 4th time calling a roofer

My gutters back up every damn time it rains hard. Last Tuesday's storm was the worst. Water poured over the side, right down the foundation. Called three different guys. Two said I need all new gutters, $2,800. The third took 5 minutes, saw the downspout was pinched at the bottom, and cleared a leaf jam with a hose. Cost me $60. The other two never even looked. How many people in this city are getting ripped off like that? Anybody else have a quick fix that a big company missed?

Gotta love how the "big fix" is always a full gutter replacement, huh? Had a buddy pay $900 for new downspouts only to find out the old ones were just clogged with a bird nest, same exact story. That $60 guy probably saved your foundation and your wallet, but the other two were probably shopping for new boats with that quote lol. Classic case of "diagnose by dollar signs" if I've ever seen it.
