My dad's 1998 film shots of the Orion Nebula vs what I got with a $300 camera in my yard
I found his old prints from a star party near Flagstaff and the nebula is barely a smudge compared to the detail I pulled out on a random Tuesday night. He drove 3 hours each way for those shots and I just set the tripod on my driveway. Anyone else go back through old family astrophotos and get a little stunned by the gap?
