The Tuesday my power went out for 9 hours and I got more done than any normal day
Power cut around 8am in Bowling Green and I couldn't charge my laptop, so I read a whole book I'd been putting off for 2 months. Anyone else notice they get more done when the wifi dies, or is that just me?
So did the book actually grab you or were you just bored enough to push through it because nothing else was possible? That's the part I always wonder about with these power outage stories, because half the time I end up staring at a wall for an hour before I finally pick something up. And once the power came back at 5pm, did you jump right back on the laptop and lose all that momentum, or did the calm feeling stick around for the rest of the night? Nine hours is a long stretch too, way longer than a quick wifi blip, so I'm curious if it was the length of the outage that did it or just having zero options. Genuinely asking because I've thought about unplugging on purpose and I never actually follow through.
