I tried asking open vs closed questions for a week and the results were clear

Last week, I ran a small test on my site's 'Ask Anything' page. For the first three days, I posted prompts like 'What's your opinion on this?' which got maybe two replies each. Then I switched to specific ones like 'What's the best way to fix a wobbly ceiling fan, step by step?' The detailed questions got way more answers, like 10-15 each time. It seems people just engage more when you give them a clear box to think inside of, lol. Has anyone else found that super specific questions work better than broad ones here?

Read a study that said the same thing, clear questions win.

Yeah, that line about clear questions winning is so true. I heard a podcast where a teacher said she gets way better essays when she asks "explain three causes of the war" instead of just "discuss the war." It forces a real structure. Same thing with work emails, asking "can you send the report by Friday?" gets a faster yes than "let me know when you have a chance.
