I just realized I've been washing my cast iron pan wrong for 10 years
The moment I saw bits of rust in my scrambled eggs last Tuesday, I knew that 'soap is always bad' advice from my grandma was the real problem, has anyone else had to unlearn old kitchen rules?

Man, that rust in the eggs hit different right? My dad still insists you gotta burn a layer of bacon grease into everything and I'm like dad the soap thing is a myth now.

People think old advice is sacred just cause it's old, but most of it was just them figuring stuff out without Google.
