Hot take: Instant coffee vs. pour over - one is clearly better for busy mornings

I used to swear by pour over for the taste but after switching to instant during a rush week, I realized it saves me like 10 minutes each morning. Has anyone else made the switch and felt the time difference is worth the flavor loss?

Disagree on this one. Instant coffee tastes like hot brown water to me, no matter how much I try to dress it up with cream or sugar. Those 10 minutes saved aren't worth starting my day with a mug of regret. Pour over takes a little more time but the flavor difference is night and day, especially with fresh beans. I'd rather wake up 10 minutes earlier than drink that stuff.

Man, you NAILED it. I tried to convince myself instant was fine for years but every cup just tasted like dirty water to me too. Pour over is worth the extra few minutes every time.
