Decided to prank my brother by supergluing his phone to the table... it worked too well
So last Sunday I thought it'd be funny to use a tiny drop of superglue to stick my brother's phone case to the coffee table while he was in the bathroom. Problem is, I used the wrong kind of glue and it seeped through the case and got all over the back of his phone. We spent 2 hours trying to pry it off with olive oil and a butter knife. Ended up cracking his screen protector and leaving a sticky mess on the table. Learned my lesson: never mess with adhesives unless you know exactly what you're doing. Anyone else have a prank go totally sideways?

Jumped right into a glue trap myself a few years back, trying to fix a phone case with superglue. Ended up gluing my fingers together for an hour and had to soak them in nail polish remover. That's kind of the thing with superglue in life, it's great for small fixes but it goes wrong in a big way when you least expect it. Your story fits a pattern I've noticed where people use the strongest solution for a small problem and get wrecked. Like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, everything gets broken but the nut. Your brother's phone is a perfect example of that scaling issue, a little drop turned into a whole mess. Take this with a grain of salt, but maybe keep a bottle of acetone handy next time you want to do something "funny.
