Back in 2010, I'd just google my random questions and hope for a good forum post. Now I come straight here.

I used to spend like 20 minutes digging through old Yahoo Answers threads from 2007 to find out why my car made a noise. About two years ago, I found this place and realized asking a fresh question gets way better, specific answers. It's way faster and the advice is actually current. What's the biggest thing you've learned here that you couldn't find easily anywhere else?

Disagree completely, old forum archives are a goldmine. The best fixes for my 2004 truck came from a thread where the original poster detailed every wrong guess before finding the real issue. A new post here might get one quick answer that misses the weird, specific history of older models. Sometimes you need that decade-old conversation to see the full troubleshooting process.

Totally agree! I found a weird fridge fix from a 2012 thread that no new article or video ever mentioned.
