Ran into a dead end looking for old Cleveland train schedules, then tried the local library's site instead

I spent 2 hours last Tuesday fighting Google for 1950s Cleveland transit timetables and got nothing but modern route PDFs. Tried the Cleveland Public Library's digital collection search and found 40 scanned schedules in about 5 minutes. Anyone else had luck with city library archives for stuff like this, or do you go straight to the local historical society instead?
