Got stuck in the Boston Public Library map room and now I search everything by region first
I was in the Boston Public Library map room over Thanksgiving looking for old train routes near my grandparents' town, and the librarian showed me how to search by region and date upfront instead of just typing place names into Google. Took me 10 minutes to find records I'd been trying to dig up for 3 years. Now I start every hard search with the place and the year before I type anything else. Does anyone else search by region first, or am I doing it backwards?
