That 20 minute parking garage drill changed my routine

Last month a buddy who drives for Uber pointed out that I spend way too long circling the same 3 garages near Courthouse looking for cheap spots. He showed me his trick of checking the county parking app first and committing to one garage no matter what, even if it costs $4 more. Has anyone else stopped the loop and just paid the extra few bucks for peace of mind?

$4 more is nothing compared to the gas I burn doing those extra loops, but your friend seriously got you to commit to ONE garage? I've been circling the one on Wilson Blvd for like 2 years now because I refuse to pay the extra $2 at the one next to the bank. It's wild that a simple app check could break that habit, I always figured people just accepted the circling as part of the courthouse tax. Maybe I'm just stubborn but I'd rather waste 15 minutes than give them my money, even if it's actually cheaper in the end when you count the gas. Honestly though, the peace of mind part sounds nice, I just hate feeling like I got played by the parking system.
