Can we talk about those 'perfect circles' in ancient stonework?

I saw a post last month about the stone spheres in Costa Rica, and it got me wondering how people back then made things so round without modern tools. Has anyone here actually seen one in person and noticed tool marks or something most photos miss?

Did they find any drilling marks up close or just smooth surfaces?

@xena_taylor64 brings up a good point about tool marks. I actually think the real trick isnt just the roundness but how they managed to get them perfectly balanced. Like those spheres in Costa Rica, some weigh 15 tons. A slight imbalance would make them impossible to roll or move. So maybe they were more focused on weight distribution than just making a circle. The smooth surface might be from centuries of rain and wind, not just their original tool work.
