Picked a rope wrench over a mechanical system, zero regrets so far

I had to decide between a rope wrench setup and a full mechanical ascender for my SRT work. I went with the wrench because I do a lot of limb walking and wanted something simpler to fix in the field. After 3 weeks up in some tall oaks around Asheville, it handles like a dream and I actually feel more connected to my line. Has anyone else stuck with a classic setup over the high-tech stuff and felt it was the right call?
