Unpopular opinion: the filler arc everyone skips is the one that made me love the whole show
I finally watched all 12 episodes of the Bount arc in Bleach after dodging it for 15 years, and weirdly it made the main story hit harder for me. Took me a whole Saturday on the couch with cold pizza, but by episode 8 I actually cared about those side characters. Did anyone else give a skipped arc a shot and end up liking it more than the canon stuff?

Man, good for you for actually sitting through it. I did the same thing with the Naruto filler and ended up liking some of those goofy episodes more than the serious ones. Sometimes the side stuff just hits different when you give it a real chance.
