Guy at the anime club in Tulsa told me my top 3 list was 'all opening themes and no actual shows'
Back in February I was at my local anime club meeting in Tulsa and we were doing that icebreaker where you name your top 3 shows. I listed off three series and this guy Dave just stares at me and goes, 'those are all just shows with great openings, you don't actually like the stories.' I got mad at first but then I went home and rewatched all three and honestly two of them fall apart after episode 8. Now I can't stop wondering if I've been picking shows based on 90 second YouTube clips this whole time. Has anyone else had someone call out their taste like that and been totally right about it?
