Finally finished my Neon Genesis Evangelion rewatch after 8 years
I started watching Evangelion back in 2016 when I was in college, but I dropped it halfway through because it got too confusing. Last month I decided to pick it up again from scratch, and I just finished episode 26 last night. The funny thing is I understood way more this time around, especially Shinji's whole deal with his dad. Has anyone else had a totally different experience rewatching a show years later?

Oh totally agree, I had that same exact "ah-ha" moment with Shinji and Gendo on my rewatch too.

That's exactly what happened with me and Evangelion. I had a totally different perspective on Shinji's relationship with his dad the second time around too.
