That old CRT monitor I pulled from a dumpster actually works perfectly

Grabbed a 2002 Sony Trinitron from behind a electronics shop in Denver last month. Thought for sure it would have flyback issues or be totally dead. Plugged it in and it fired right up, no weird colors or buzzing. Still using it for retro gaming, guess some things are just built to last. Anyone else find old tech that just refuses to die?

Used to think CRTs were overhyped nostalgia bait but honestly that Trinitron tube is something else. Picked up a similar one from a recycling center a few years back and it made me realize how much detail gets lost on modern screens. Kinda wild that a 20+ year old monitor still holds up better than some new stuff.
