My old Zip drive saved a client project last Tuesday and I almost forgot how to use it
Back in 2001 I kept every design file on 100MB Zip disks, and now I just dump everything in cloud folders without thinking twice. Last Tuesday a client in Cincinnati sent me a 1998 Quark file that no modern app would open, so I dug my Iomega drive out of a closet box after 12 years. It took 3 tries and a driver from an old forum, but the disk spun up and the file opened fine. I got paid $400 for that job, mostly because nobody else on the team even knew what a Zip disk was. Does anyone still keep a working Zip or Jaz drive around, and have you actually needed it this decade?

Wow, hard disagree, that's just hoarding old junk that got lucky once.
