Can we talk about how the crappy plugin my old boss forced on me in 2009 still works and the new one crashes?
Back at a print shop in Cleveland my boss Larry made us all install this tiny plugin for batch renaming files. I thought it was junk. Fought him on it for weeks. Kept saying it was old and pointless.
That was like 15 years ago. I still have the installer on a zip drive. Pulled it out last Tuesday for a client job. Worked first try on Windows 11.
The fancy cloud tool the client pays $29 a month for froze twice on the same batch of files.
So yeah. Larry was right. I was wrong. The ugly one wins.
Anyone else still running a tool from a job you quit forever ago? What is it?
