A clerk at a Staples in Boise asked why I still keep a Zip drive, and his face when I said the disks outlive my cloud backups
He said his dad lost 6 years of tax records when a service shut down with 30 days notice, and that made me dig out my old Iomega drive from 1998. Anyone else still keeping a spinning disk around just in case the cloud pulls the plug?
