The roll of film I found in a thrifted camera that had my old neighbor in it

I picked up a beat up Minolta at a garage sale last month for $10, just because I wanted a cheap film body to mess around with. Didn't even check if there was film inside, just tossed it in the closet. Three days ago I finally opened it up and there was a half-shot roll of Fuji Superia in there, so I finished it off and got it developed at the lab on Main Street. The last frame was this blurry shot of a guy mowing his lawn, and I almost didn't look twice until I realized that was Mr. Hendricks from three houses down who moved away like five years ago. I have no idea how that camera ended up at a garage sale across town, but it's weird seeing your own street through someone else's lens like that. Anyone else ever find a random photo of someone you know in a used camera?

My buddy Dave found a roll of undeveloped film in a thrifted Pentax and when he got it back, there was a shot of his own dog as a puppy. Turns out his mom had sold the camera at a yard sale years ago without telling him. Wild how that stuff circles back around and gives you a punch of nostalgia you didn't ask for.

Honestly it's wild how stuff like that happens. It's like the universe has this weird way of sending you little reminders from the past when you least expect them. I swear half of my childhood memories are tied to random objects that just show back up in strange places. Like last month I found a mix CD from 2005 in an old coat pocket and it felt like getting a text from my teenage self. That camera story is on another level though, almost like the universe was nudging Dave to reconnect with his dog's memory.
