Spent $180 on a Canon AE-1 that sat broken for 8 months
Bought that camera at a flea market near Akron last fall, thought I was getting a steal. It fired twice then the shutter jammed, and I just let it sit in my closet because I didn't want to admit I wasted the money. Finally took it to a local repair guy last week, he fixed it for $60 on the spot, some old grease had turned sticky. Now I'm kicking myself for not going sooner, the first roll I shot this weekend came back sharp and full of light leaks I actually like. Anyone else hold onto a broken camera way too long before just getting it serviced?
