Shot my sister's wedding on a $12 disposable in 2004, now I bring 4 rolls of Portra 400 to every family party
Back then I just handed the camera to a cousin and hoped for the best, but last month in Phoenix I burned through 4 rolls of Portra 400 at my nephew's birthday because I wanted every messy slice of cake on film. Anyone else notice they shoot way more now that a roll costs 15 bucks instead of 4?
Man, I gotta disagree on the cost thing being what drives it. Shooting more now is about how easy it is to see your shots and get better, plus film just looks great and people want that. The price stings, sure, but it's not why you burned 4 rolls at a birthday, you just care more now.
