Shooting expired film was the biggest waste until I saw the results
I picked up 5 rolls of expired Kodak Gold 200 from a thrift store for $8 and figured they'd be garbage. My friend kept telling me expired film gives photos a weird vintage look, but I thought it was just hipster hype. After developing them at the lab downtown, the colors came out all faded and greenish in a way that looked totally intentional. Now I'm hunting for more expired rolls, has anyone else had good luck with film past its date?

Dude same thing happened with a roll of Fuji Superia I found in an old jacket pocket.

Three rolls of 35mm from 2008 I found in a coat pocket that went through the washing machine. Somehow two of them still had usable images on them, mostly just weird water spots and my ex's blurry dog. Your mileage may vary but I've had decent luck with expired film that's been stored cold. I still have a half-finished roll of Superia in my fridge from 2016 that I'm almost scared to shoot at this point.
