Stuck with an inkwell instead of a rollerball for my journal
I spent three days debating between a fountain pen and a rollerball at the antique shop on Main Street. Picked the inkwell and dip pen, and now I'm slowing down to actually think before I write. Anybody else find that a clunky tool forces better habits?

Buying a rollerball instead would have saved you time and frustration right from the start. Clunky tools just slow you down without actually making you more thoughtful or creative. You can have fast, clean writing and still think through your words if you just take a moment.

Ten years of using fountain pens here. They're not slower if you use them right. The nib glides, no pressure needed. Rollerballs are fine but they dry out faster and you can't refill them the same way.
