Serious question, why does everyone skip the owner's manual that comes with their hand tools?
I fixed my grandma's 1970s Singer sewing machine last Saturday just by reading the little booklet that was still tucked in the case, and it showed a threading path that 3 YouTube videos got wrong. The manual said to thread the needle from the back and the videos all said front, which is why my stitches kept bird nesting for a whole afternoon. It took me 20 minutes with the booklet versus the 2 hours I wasted online. Does anyone else keep the paper manuals for their old gear, or am I the odd one for saving them all in a binder?
