My barber in Boise gave me a paper punch card and I remembered how much I miss them
Got a haircut on Friday and the guy handed me a little cardstock card with 10 boxes on it, punch one per visit, free cut when it fills up. I had not seen one of those in years because every place near me moved to some app that wants my phone number and sends me texts I don't want. The paper one lives in my wallet, needs no battery, and works even when the shop's wifi is down, which it was that day. It made me think about how many small paper systems got tossed for digital ones that break more often. Anyone else keep a punch card going somewhere just because the plain version works?
