Handwritten ledger vs. spreadsheets for my farm stand, went old school after 2 bad seasons

I switched from a digital inventory ledger to a paper one for our Saturday market stall in Eugene, and after losing power mid-season twice I'm wondering if anyone else found that the slower pace of writing entries actually helped them catch mistakes, or am I just romanticizing the smell of a fresh notebook?

Paper ledger caught my math errors near the end. I was wrong, it works.
