Rant: my contractor cut a hole in my ceiling for a can light and hit the 1930s knob and tube I told him was up there
He was standing on a ladder in my hallway off Menaul doing a 'quick $150 add' when the bit arced and killed power to half the house, so I made him stop, called an electrician, and paid $1,900 to rewire that whole run instead of the patch job he wanted, and now I want to know if anyone else has had a contractor ignore what you told them about old Albuquerque wiring.
